My Home Away From Home!
Exercise and fitness have always been a part of my life – since I was 5 years old. When I hit my 40’s I was so incredibly bored with the same mundane gym workouts and bootcamps. Since I am an ex-gymnast/dancer, I felt I needed something more challenging. A friend told me to try a pole dancing class, so I did! It was a beginner class so I felt comfortable with the skill level but there were also women in attendance who had been pole dancing for several years and it was inspiring to know that I could advance as well. My first class gave me such an awesome workout and I met some really great women. I have never felt very sexy in my own skin but after a few weeks I noticed that I was feeling more comfortable and not as shy as I had been. I also started to notice that my body was becoming more lean and more flexible. I was hooked! In 2015 I began teaching at Premier Pole and shortly after, joined the competition team and took first place at my first competition. I’m a mother of two teenagers who keep me busy so I really love breaking away and spending time with my students, giving them a home of pole sisters and friends for life.
